Children Registering Alone

Patient safety and safeguarding is paramount at Westcroft Health Centre, particularly with children. After continuing discussions, we find it crucial, for ease of communication and ensuring excellent patient care is provided for children, that at least one parent/guardian is registered at the practice alongside their child under the age of 13.

It has now been implemented as practice policy that any child being registered under the age of 13, must have a patient/guardian also registered at the practice.

We understand this may be inconvenient for some however this decision has been made based on child safety. Should you wish to discuss any unforeseen circumstances why a parent/guardian cannot be registered alongside their child, please feel free to contact us on westcroftmc@nhs.net
