Nurse practitioners

Our nurse practitioners are part of our urgent assessment team and can deal with all minor ailments such as rash, tonsillitis, earache, back ache, acne, and more. They are qualified to issue prescriptions when there is a clinical need.

Nurses

Practice nurses are qualified and registered nurses. They can help with health issues such as family planning, healthy living advice, blood pressure checks and dressings. The practice nurses run clinics for long term health conditions such as asthma or diabetes, minor ailment clinics and carry out cervical smears.

Healthcare assistants

Our healthcare assistant is skilled in the delivery of the following: blood tests, blood pressure readings, ECGs, weight checks, diabetic yearly and foot reviews, patient health checks, lifestyle advice, urine dips, and assisting GPs with child blood taking.
